Madoff Week

Bernard Madoff has stolen $50 billion from friends and other investors. Bank of America has announced it will lay off 35,000 more employees. President George W. Bush has ducked a shoe attack. For the first time ever, the level of U.S. household debt has shrunk (and so has wealth). And Governor Blagojevich of Illinois has tried to sell Barack Obama’s Senate seat to the highest bidder.

And yet for the week, the NYSE still managed to climb 1.30% while the NASDAQ gained 1.53%.

Since 6/6/08, when the NLX NYSE turned Bearish, the NYSE has sank -38.64%.

Since 12/16/08, when the NLX NASDAQ turned Bullish, the NASDAQ has retreated -1.61%.
